hand embroidery

thank you for linking inkscape and embroidery! i've been searching the web for days looking for a way to create designs (including fonts) in corel/inkscape and convert them into hand embroidery stitches.

i know *nothing* about the internal workings of inkscape and don't really care to learn. i have absolutely no interest in machine embroidery. all i want to do is take an .svg file and create a pattern that can be hand embroidered.

can i use your program to do that? can i 'apply' stitch styles to the various design items?

I cannot see that svg2embroidery will help you anywhere for hand embroidery. The only thing this program does is to convert the svg file to digital stitch path for the embroidery machine to understand.
